Privacy Policy
How Venture Scale Media LLC collects, uses, shares, and retains personal information.
Contents
1. Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy describes how Venture Scale Media LLC ("Venture Scale Media," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal information. It applies to venturescalemedia.com and to the consumer-facing lead generation websites we own and operate (together, the "Sites").
Venture Scale Media is a marketing company. We are not a lender, bank, insurance carrier, insurance agency, or home improvement contractor. We do not make credit decisions, underwrite or issue insurance policies, or perform home improvement work. When you submit a request on one of our consumer Sites, you are asking us to connect you with third-party companies that may be able to serve you.
Once your information is shared with those companies, their own privacy policies govern what they do with it. This policy does not cover their practices, and we do not control them.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
On our consumer Sites, depending on the product you are requesting, this may include:
- Identifiers — name, postal address, email address, and telephone number.
- Demographic information — date of birth, gender, marital status, and household size.
- Property information — homeownership status, property type, and details about the project you are pricing.
- Insurance qualification information — vehicle and driver details, driving history, current coverage, tobacco use, height and weight, and general health qualification questions, depending on the product.
- Financial information — income amount and source, employment status, pay frequency, banking status, and the amount you are requesting, where relevant to the product.
- Communications — the content of inquiries you send us and our correspondence with you.
On this corporate site, we collect only what you enter into our business contact form: your name, company, work email, phone number, and message.
Information collected automatically
- Network and device information — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device characteristics, and a device fingerprint.
- Usage information — pages viewed, referring URL, the specific landing page you submitted from, time spent on the page, and timestamps.
- Interaction signals — whether the session showed mouse movement, clicks, scrolling, keyboard input, and field focus, blur, and paste events. We use these to distinguish real people from automated scripts.
- Approximate location — city, region, and country derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location.
- Traffic source identifiers — the sub-ID parameters that identify which marketing partner referred you.
Consent records
When you submit a request, we create and retain a record of your consent. That record includes the exact disclosure text displayed to you, the date and time of submission, the IP address the request came from, your browser's user agent string, the URL of the page you submitted, and independent third-party certificates — a TrustedForm certificate and a Jornaya LeadiD token — that independently document the interaction.
3. Where we get it
We obtain personal information from three sources:
- Directly from you, when you complete a form on one of our Sites.
- Automatically, through the technologies described above when you visit a Site.
- From marketing partners, who may refer you to one of our Sites and pass along tracking identifiers. We do not purchase consumer contact lists, and we do not accept appended or co-registration data.
4. How we use it
We use personal information to:
- Process your request and connect you with third-party companies that may be able to serve you;
- Verify that the information you submitted is accurate and reachable — including validating email deliverability, telephone number format and status, and address consistency;
- Detect and prevent fraud, including by scoring device, network, velocity, duplicate, and behavioral signals, and by identifying proxy, VPN, datacenter, and automated traffic;
- Create and maintain the consent and compliance records described in §2;
- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support;
- Operate, analyze, maintain, and improve the Sites;
- Comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, and establish or defend legal claims.
5. How and why we share it
With marketing partners and third-party companies
This is the core of what we do, and we want it stated plainly. When you submit a request on one of our consumer Sites, we share the information you provided — along with your consent record and the compliance artifacts attached to it — with one or more third-party companies in the relevant industry, so that they may contact you about the product you asked about.
Depending on the product, those companies may include lenders and lending networks, insurance carriers, agencies, and licensed agents, home improvement contractors and contractor networks, and marketing companies that work with them. A current list is maintained on our Marketing Partners page.
Under some state privacy laws, this sharing is considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, whether or not money changes hands. You have the right to opt out — see Your Privacy Choices.
With service providers
We share information with vendors who perform services on our behalf and are contractually limited to using it for those services — including hosting and infrastructure providers, email and telephone verification services, IP intelligence and fraud detection providers, consent certification providers (TrustedForm and Jornaya), and analytics providers.
For legal and corporate reasons
We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process; to cooperate with regulators or law enforcement; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Venture Scale Media, our users, or others; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case the recipient will be bound by this policy or will notify you of any material change.
6. Consent and contact permissions
Our consumer forms ask for your express written consent to be contacted by the categories of companies identified in the disclosure shown on that page. That consent may authorize contact by telephone — including calls and text messages placed using an automatic telephone dialing system or an artificial or prerecorded voice — at the number you provide, even if that number is on a state or federal Do Not Call list.
Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Message and data rates may apply to text messages. You may revoke consent at any time using the methods in §10, and you may reply STOP to any text message to stop further texts from that sender.
Revoking consent stops future contact. It does not undo contact that already occurred, and it does not automatically reach third parties who already received your information — though we will tell you who they were so you can contact them directly.
7. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember form progress, attribute traffic to the correct marketing partner, generate a device fingerprint for fraud prevention, and measure site performance.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies may prevent our forms from working correctly, since we use a session token to confirm a submission came from a real browser session. Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal; because there is no common standard for how to interpret it, we do not currently respond to it. We do honor the Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out of sale or sharing where required by law.
8. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy and to meet our legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations. Consent records and their associated compliance artifacts are retained for the period required to demonstrate compliance with applicable telemarketing and consumer protection laws, which is generally longer than the period for which we retain other data. Logs of blocked or rejected submissions are retained on a defined schedule and pruned automatically.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information such as Social Security numbers or account numbers through our business contact form.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you, and where it came from;
- Access a copy of that information;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Delete your information, subject to legal exceptions;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information;
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, or to be added to our do-not-contact suppression list, visit Your Privacy Choices or email privacy@venturescalemedia.com. We will verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
11. Children
Our Sites are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact privacy@venturescalemedia.com.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and we will provide additional notice for material changes. The version of the disclosure that was in force when you submitted a request stays attached to that record — we do not retroactively change what you agreed to.
