We will never deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide a lesser quality of service because you exercised a privacy right.
Our business model involves sharing the information you submit with third-party companies so they can contact you about the product you requested. Under California and several other state privacy laws, this is considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — even though we are not selling data to unrelated parties or brokers, and even in cases where no money changes hands.
You have the right to opt out. To do so, email privacy@venturescalemedia.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share" and include the information listed under "How to submit a request" below.
We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out request for the browser that sends it, where required by law.
An opt-out of sale or sharing stops future distribution of your information. If you also want to stop being contacted, request suppression:
Important: we can only control our own systems. If your information was already shared with third-party companies before your request, those companies must honor their own opt-out obligations, and you may need to contact them directly. When you ask, we will tell you which companies received your information so you can do that. Our Marketing Partners page lists the categories of companies involved.
Email privacy@venturescalemedia.com, or use our contact form and select "A consumer with a privacy request." To help us find your records and verify your identity, please include:
We must verify that you are the person the information belongs to before we act. We do this by matching the details you provide against our records. We may ask for additional information if we cannot make a match — but we will only use anything you send for verification, and we will delete it afterward. If we cannot verify your identity, we will tell you why.
You may use an authorized agent to submit a request. We will require written proof of their authorization and may still ask you to verify your own identity directly.
We confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 calendar days. If we need more time, we will tell you before the 45 days are up and may extend by another 45 days. Opt-out and suppression requests are processed as quickly as possible and no later than 15 business days. There is no charge for these requests.
We will delete what we can, but the law allows — and in some cases requires — us to retain certain records. We may keep information needed to:
When we retain information under one of these exceptions, we tell you which exception applies and limit our use of that information to that purpose alone.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we do not sell or share the personal information of minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact privacy@venturescalemedia.com and we will delete it.
